Eating Western Food With Friends

A long time ago (I really do not remember what was the date), I went to an Italian Restaurant with my friend Gu Jiayi. We ordered a lot of Italian food and a lot of drinks, so my plan to lose weight could be forgotten.

The restaurant is located in the Lion Bridge. The reason we chose this restaurant is the restaurant is near our home, and it is very easy to find. I like Italian food very much, because those food are delicious, and it includes cheese, macaroni, and a lot of really wonderful food. Comparing with the rice and some other food I usually eat, these Italian food are very greasy, maybe it was not the traditional food made by Italian.

Because it is a foreign restaurant, only a few people come there and have their dinner, so for me it was a very quiet place to have dinner, and I like this kind of quiet place to eat. The service here also very good, so after the first time I eat with Gu Jiayi, I recommend my primary school classmates to come to have dinner, and they also felt that it is a good place. The only problem was the dish here goes very slow, so people have to wait for a long time to enjoy their dinner. If you also want to go, just go~

Exhibition With My Friends

On the 28th of Feberary, 2009, I went to Nanjing History Museum with my friends, Gu Jiayi , Wang Yue and Xu Chuyue. There are different kinds of rooms to show different themes about Nanjing's history. For me, this was not a very exiting trip there, because I do not like history at all. Luckily, we found Wu Weishan's sculpture there.

The most impressive part was the four men made by clay a long time ago, we four people stood in front of those four men and made the same movement as them. When we took this photo, people around us were shocked and happily smiled.

We spent only a few moment there, because nobody was interested in it, so we turned back to home soon after.

School Club

I joined in Badminton Club this school term because I really like playing badminton. During the holiday before I went to GCA, I started to practice badminton every Wednesday night to improve my playing skill. I wanted to get further grades on sports, so I choose this club.
In the Badminton Club, we practice a lot, and I also joined in the Badminton Team, so I have to practice on Wednesday nights and the afternoon of Saturdays. I was not good at play badminton before, but now I change a lot. We change our partner and opponent every times, so we can make progress very fast an also know that the skill different people have.
Playing a badminton game is just like how you live in this world. We have different competitive, all kinds of difficulties and different ways to solve the problem. If you win, everyone will admire you, but if you lose, just need to practice more, also the experience you meet determine how your game like. This is all I thought about badminton, and I really enjoy playing badminton. It interprets another kind of way to live.

Volunteer/Work Experience

From December twenty-fifth to December twenty-eighth, I did two jobs in two places. One is teach grade three students English, another is work in the hospital. After I finished this two works, I knew that there are so many people need to be helped in this world.
Those grade three students I taught studied in Mataijie Primary School. This primary school does not have perfect education system and good environment for students to study, so those student have to depend on their own ability and self-management to study well. That is why I came to this school to teach these students and also encourage them to study well, so that they can have good education after they go into a good secondary school. When I stood in front of this class, I knew that I should use game to make these students review what they had learned in their past class, so I group them into six people to start a competition. The time passed very quickly, and this two-hour-class suddenly came to the end. The students were very happy staying with me, and they even did not want me to finish the class. From their smiling face, something warm came through my heart that I could easily touch. Even if I was not their teacher, I was proud of them and wish them will have terrific future,
Working in a hospital is not easy, and if you ask me why I have this exclamation, I will tell you that I have worked in the hospital about four days. I do not have any professional knowledge about medical treatment, so my job was looked the same as casual laborers in the hospital, such as make the bed, chat with patients, send the patients to do some health examine, and so on. Most of those patients I met are old people above forty-five years old, so it was very important things I did was inspect every room and make sure every patient got help in time. There was a special patient in Room 2. This patient was only twenty-six years old, but she got lung cancer and it was told that this patient would soon leave from this world, I was shocked and confused about the meaning of life. I spent most of the tome staying with her, and used my eyesight to comfort her rest spirit. I could feel that she was fighting with the illness. After I finished my work, I went home, and that brave patient passed away soon after.
That is my volunteer experience. Up till now, I cannot forget those faces of the students and those patients. They let me know how our lives are so precious and meaningful, so cheer for our great lives!

Dinner With Grade 12 Students

On the night of December 6th of 2008, I went to a Maxico restaurant with Grade 12 students and my classmates. The restaurant locate opposite the "金润发 supermarket", on the Xuefu Road. We went to the Maxico restaurant because none of us had eaten the food before (Haha~curious~).
I think the food is really terrible, because I hate little pieces or I haven't ate Maxico food, and don't like the fever. The best thing in the Maxico restaurant I think is ice-cream, cause I like eating ice-cream very much. The food just like the food in every other foreign restaurant, not tasty so well^-^ The environment there is very well, the only short-point is the restaurant is very small that it is very difficult to find it. Everything in the restaurant is quiet and peaceful, and it is different from Chinese restaurant, because everyone is talking in the Chinese restaurant. I looked around and found that there were foreigners and Chinese, and most of the people are foreigners. If I have chance to choose a foreign restaurant, I will never choose Maxico restaurant again......

My Trip to Sculpture Exhibition of Wu Weishan

On the 4th of December in 2008, I went to the Sculpture Exhibition of Wu Weishan with my classmates and students in 10-F in Nanjing University.

Professor Wu was born in the city of Dongtai , Jiangsu Province, in 1962. He is the Director of the Institute of Fine Arts of Nanjing University, the Institute of Sculpture Arts of Nanjing University and member for The Member of Royal Society of British Sculpture, and The Member of Fine Arts of Nanjing Normal University, and studied Psychology at Peking University, EKWC and Art of the University of Washington, US.

I like this exhibition very much, because all of the artworks are perfect. The picture on the left shows that he always catches the details, and use simple artwork to "describe " the pictures show in front of him.
